1. Design the Interface: a. Plan out the game show screen. b. Use frames to group similar objects. c. Use option buttons for the user to select the right answer. d. Experiment with the image and graphics tools. e. Have a separate form to print out the check with the winner’s name and amount .earned. Before each question the user might just want to peek at their current winning before deciding to guess (just like in the show!). f. Include an about form with your name and date. g. Include a help form with the basic rules. 2. Set the properties: a. Rename all controls properly b. Add colour and change fonts to spruce up the appearance. 3. Write the code: a. Have a form when the user first enters the program to allow the user to enter their first name, last name and social security numbers so you know who to make the check out to. b. Have a variable to keep track of the final amount entered. c. Values are ($100, $200, $500, $1000, $2000, $4000, $8000, $16000, $32000, $64000, $125000, $250000, $500000 and $1000000). Once they make it past the $1000 or $32000 levels, they cannot go home with any less. d. Give the question and four possible answers (only one will be right). e. Their life lines include • 50/50, where two wrong answers are taken away. • Ask the computer , where the computer will attempt to help you out (not necessarily the right answer) • Get a hint, where the computer will give you a good idea of what might not be correct or point you in the right direction.
